Japanese mothers frequently rely on bicycles to get around town and a unique type of bike called mamachari exists which is specially designed for the mom on the go. These bikes usually include one or more child seats as well as room for carrying large bags. Some mamachari even include special battery-assisted drives to help Okasan climb tough hills when carrying a full load of kids and groceries.
